About me

My love of photography began when I received my first camera for my seventh birthday.  Portraiture was my forte back then with many thoughtfully-posed shots of Barbie dolls, tolerant relatives and Penny, my incredibly patient dog.  Through the years, this passion has evolved and grown.  I have since pursued an education in photographic arts and found a new fascination in travel photography.

Today, I am an explorer and have spent the past decade traveling across North America and Europe.  My camera is my constant companion on these adventures.  I’d like to return to just about everywhere I’ve been, but there are just too many other places that are waiting to be explored.  So, to keep the memories close to heart, I take pictures, capturing amazing places, and freezing significant moments.

It is my hope that through my photography others will have the opportunity to return to these wonderful places or perhaps journey there for the first time.  My goal is to continue to explore the world and understand the spirit of these places so I can capture their true essence and idiosyncrasies.  I have found that places, like people, are individuals with their own unique personalities that change moment-to-moment.  And no two places, no two moments, are exactly alike.
